What do the Palace of Westminster, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace have in common?

(Besides being in London.)

They’re all classified as Grade 1 buildings, meaning that the curators of England’s National Heritage List have determined that they are historic structures of “exceptional interest.”

Joining them on the Grade 1 list is a hot new listing outside of Bristol that just hit the market, the Tudor castle where Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn honeymooned for 10 days back in 1535.

Currently operating as a hotel, 28-bedroom Thornbury Castle features some sections that date as far back as 1330 although most of the construction on the 15.4-acre property began in 1510.

Bedrooms in the castle feature open fireplaces, exposed beams, four-post beds and other Tudor aesthetics, and Thornbury also has exterior stonework that was impressive enough to convince Henry VIII the Duke of Buckingham was going to launch a coup from it, leading to his execution.

If you can afford the listing price of about $10.4 million, you can live like a honeymooning king, but if you can’t there’s still the the option of sleeping like one for a night starting at around $100.
