Could a Foldable Micro-Office Be Your Solution to Desktop Clutter?

Convenient, comfortable and the perfect reason to get creative with your tax write-offs, home offices can be a great way to boost productivity and efficiency.

They can also be a great way to send the amount of clutter in your abode skyrocketing to levels that Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo wouldn’t inflict on a even a cheap Vegas hotel room.

Uruguayan industrial designer Claudio Sibille wanted to combat just this tendecy — to pile clutter on our workspaces, basically ensuring nothing can get done there. That’s the origin story behind the diminutive all-in-one Ludovico Office, a micro workstation with enough space for two drawers, a filing cabinet, chair and fold-up desk, but no room for excess junk to pile up.

Lightweight and relatively easy to transport, the piece goes from rolling cabinet to micro office in seconds, is available in natural wood and white or all-white and is priced a hair short of $1,000.

Great way to spend that tax return.
