It’s been scrubbed from the history books, but when our forefathers were picking a symbol to represent our freedom, bald eagles barely edged out Airstreams and Tommy Bahama shirts.
In a gesture that all but says “no hard feelings,” the two brands have just released a brand new line of special edition travel trailers and touring coaches.
Designed as a way to “pay tribute to the great American weekend,” the 28-foot Airstream Tommy Bahama RVs are equipped with island-inspired living spaces decked out in custom fabrics and outfitted with built-in bars as well as sport hatches that provide panoramic views.
With enough room to sleep four and plenty of space to store three-day weekend essentials like surfboards, golf clubs and underwater fishing drones, two models are already available and ready to party — the Travel Trailer’s MSRP is $114,600 and the Touring Coach’s is $165,050.
“Airstream founder Wally Byam was an innovator and a lover of the outdoors, who believed in the promise of adventure, new experiences and faraway lands,” said Airstream CEO Bob Wheeler. “That same freedom-loving spirit is also woven into the essence of Tommy Bahama.”
