By Adrian Lam

The legendary nightclub Studio 54 enjoys a history like no other New York City hotspot. Its sheer energy, glamour, and wild creativity, will likely never come again.

When it opened in 1977, Studio 54 marked the beginning of an era where nightclubs existed as performance art. Now, Ian Schrager recounts his first-hand account of co-founding and co-owning the infamous club in his new book ‘Studio 54.’ The book includes hundreds of photographs, many never before seen, and engaging quotes and stories by those who frequented the chic hangout.

Studio 54 was one of the most important cultural landmarks of the 2oth century, and this book brings it alive again. You can buy the book for $75. For now, check out in the images below some of the boldface names who frequented the legendary club.
