Fellow fans of eating and bargains: New York Restaurant Week kicks off Monday.

For the uninitiated, that’s 26 straight nights of heavily discounted tasting menus at some 380 fabulous local restaurants.

Though the website is easy to navigate, your eyes will glaze over trying to scrutinize the lot of ‘em.

So we went ahead and winnowed it to down to the 14 most exceptional menus on offer.
