It’s called Recharge, and it’s an app that sells high-end hotel rooms by the minute (at $.67 per, or $40 an hour).
Investor interest has been piqued: as Techcrunch reported, Recharge has raised $650K thus far.
If you’re thinking, “But that’s just for prostitutes and adulterers,” we suggest reviewing the use cases above.
Or say you have family coming to town and nowhere to stash them until their hotel room opens for check-in mid-afternoon. Or a colleague coming in for a day who wants a shower before a client dinner. Or you just want somewhere to hide, away from your office, for an hour.
