Vanguard, a New York-based motorcycle brand, debuted their new Roadster at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in December.

The first of three planned models—Cruiser and Racer are the other two—the Roadster prototype has a striking silhouette, a frameless structural engine, unitized crankcase, integrated exhaust, and an S&S V-twin engine with 110 lbs/ft of peak torque. Tech hasn’t been overlooked, either; the Roadster has a tablet-size digital dashboard, complete with rear-view camera.

Vanguard’s sleek design and generous price aren’t the only unique features of the hog, either. All of Vanguard’s motorcycles will be built in New York’s Brooklyn Navy Yard, with expertly sourced parts and a modular construction method based on traditional manufacturing methods.

And if you’re worried about pricing after reading all that, don’t be: With a starting price-tag of $29,995, the Roadster is certainly affordable by premium motorcycle standards.
