Is This Super Tank ‘the Most Obnoxious Vehicle Ever Made’?

By Evan Bleier

When we first saw the Ripsaw EV2, our first question was “why?”

Now that we’ve had time to warm up to the idea of a high-speed tracking tank that moves like a dirt bike, our question upon seeing the Ripsaw EV3 is “why not?”

Billed by Ripsaw manufacturer Howe & Howe Technologies as “the most obnoxious vehicle ever made,” the one-seat EV3-F1 is powered by a 727-cubic-inch Hemi that helps move the vehicle’s more than 112 inches of tank track.

The tank weighs in at 7,750 pounds and its suspension can be extended up to 16 inches while its Hemi Hellcat engine can be cranked up high enough to produce 1,500 horses. Looking more like a grounded jet fighter than a tank, the EV3 has an air-suspended cockpit that contains a five-point racing harness as well as the vehicle’s steering apparatus.

Setting “new benchmarks in terrestrial platform development,” the EV3-F1 “stands as one of the world’s most exhilarating single-seat off-road vehicles ever conceived,” Howe & Howe says.

Based on this ridiculous Ripsaw teaser video, we’re inclined to agree.
