Given their storied history as purveyors of eco-friendly excellence, when Pininfarina talks e-vehicle, we listen.
The Italian design house’s latest electric creation is a lightweight bike with a carbon frame, LEDs, a 500-watt battery and an efficient 36-volt motor that can push the cycle up to 20 MPH.
Dubbed the Evoluzione, the high-tech ride was designed with assistance from award-winning e-bike builder Diavelo and the experience they brought to the table is evident in the bike’s smooth angles and seamless looks.
Available in three distinct models (Elegance, Hi-Tech and Dynamic), the Evolutionize can be configured with different software settings depending on if a user prefers a smooth or sporty ride.
“Evoluzione represents a perfect synthesis of our spirit: sporty character and eco-friendly soul,” says company chairman Paolo Pininfarina. “Sporty and dynamic, a harmonic bike able to guarantee high performances and great comfort.”
Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing or availability, so don’t get too charged up yet.
