This Retro-fied Speaker Is Also an Electric Bike

If you’re a fan of bikes, music or not choking on smog, Gregor Fras is a man you want to talk to.

The founder and manager of Noordung, a Slovenia-based firm that develops cutting-edge bicycles, Fras plans to personally contact each and every person who purchases one of his e-bikes.

Those would be e-bikes that come equipped with a one-of-a-kind, multifunctional boombox that play music, provides electric pedal assistance, powers mobile devices, analyzes air quality and can be detached for use away from the bicycle.

Dubbed the Angel Edition, Noordung’s lightweight bikes have carbon composite frames, built-in e-motors with 18 miles of range, Brooks saddles, front and rear disc brakes, and 26-inch tires.

Noordung is only making 15 Angel Edition models and, via a purchase program allowing buyers to invest in the company, it envisions owners will become “friends, family and ambassadors.”

About $10,600 is all you need to start what could be a beautiful, and very lucrative, friendship.
