Jaguar Is Making a Station Wagon, and It Looks Fine as Hell

It’s not a crossover. And Jaguar definitely doesn’t want you to call it a wagon. But new era or not, guess what? It’s a wagon. Sure as the sky is blue and water is wet.

It’s called the XF Sportbrake, teased for the first time yesterday with an official unveiling slated for later this summer. What can we learn from the first bird’s eye image? There is going to be a serious pano sunroof on this number, for starters.

“What we’ve done with this car is create a silhouette that sweeps off the back of the car almost into the distance and really gives that car a sense of speed,” said Head of Jaguar Design Ian Callum. Beyond that, we know little, but per the video below, Jaguar likes their rides to look like they’re in motion even when they’re stopped, and clean lines are very, very important.
