Intended as a homage to the age of aero coupes, the head of design at Daimler AG, Gorden Wagener, describes the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 as both “hot and cool”: “With its intelligent appeal and reduced, technoid look, it perfectly embodies our design philosophy of sensual purity and our pursuit of aerodynamic efficiency.”

The interior is described as a “luxurious 360° lounge” that contrasts digital displays with traditional wood trim and elm on the floor. (This is also where the car gets seriously patriotic, with the red complemented by white and those lines of blue.)
