Recently, a video emerged of yet another example of passenger mistreatment by an airline—and United is thanking its lucky stars it didn’t happen on one of its flights.

The story unfolded late last week on an American Airlines flight. Video posted to Facebook (see below) shows the aftermath of an altercation between a woman holding a baby and an American flight attendant, who allegedly violently grabbed her stroller away from her, injuring the woman and nearly hitting the child in the process (the initial incident itself is not seen on the video). This sent the woman into hysterics, as can be seen on the video—and a few airline staffers are seen consoling her.

What also appears in the video is a man in first class standing up and confronting the American staffer, who is shown taunting the man, saying “Hit me.” The passenger then warns the staff person, “You do that to me, and I’ll knock you flat.”

According to NBC News, the lawyer who is working with United passenger Dr. David Dao, who was forcibly dragged out of a plane in a now infamous video, is now also working with the mother.

American Airlines clearly learned from the United situation, however. it quickly released a statement Saturday that the flight attendant had been removed from duty. “What we see on this video does not reflect our values or how we care for our customers. We are deeply sorry for the pain we have caused this passenger and her family and to any other customers affected by the incident,” the company said.

The woman ended up leaving the flight, taking another one, and was upgraded to first class.
