“It’s the perfect car to drive to the track in style, lay down some fast laps and then drive home again.”

That’s quite a claim. But one a lucky 50 U.S. drivers will soon experience.

As a tribute to the Terlingua Racing Team’s legacy and pony car series win, Shelby American is rolling out a limited edition 750+ HP supercharged V8 Shelby, based on the top-selling 2015-16 Ford Mustang GT.

The Shelby Terlingua Mustangs debuted at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale Auction on January 26th and only 75 of the beauties — 50 for the USA and 25 international — will be built and sold to the public.

In addition to packing performance upgrades like 20” WELD racing wheels, halfshafts, a short throw shifter, a Borla Exhaust and a Brembo big brake kit, the rowdy racers all include a plaque honoring Shelby, Titus and Terlingua Racing Team founder and crest designer Bill Neale.

If you want to ride wild in one of the limited edition Shelbys, pony up $66,000 — that price doesn’t include the cost of the base Mustang GT.
