How to Spend a Perfect Weekend in Vienna

"Despite its reputation for music, world-class architecture and old-world charm, Vienna hasn’t enjoyed the same reputation for food and nightlife as cities like Paris, Barcelona and London," travel writer Kevin Gray notes. Due, though, to an uptick in new restaurants and bars that are "woven seamlessly into the Viennese fabric," as he puts it, that's all about to change.

Superdawg in Chicago: If there's one city that can rightfully be called the hot dog capital of America, it's Chicago, and there's no better place to pick up a dog in the Windy City than the historic Superdawg, a drive-in opened by high school sweethearts Maurie and Flaurie Berman back in 1948. Their eponymous hot dog strays ever-so slightly from the classic Chicago-style toppings (mustard, relish, onion, sport peppers, tomato, a pickle spear and celery salt), swapping out the more traditional red tomato slices for a pickled green tomato on the side instead, but it's still beloved by locals.

Thanks to its rich history, colorful architecture and an illustrious food scene, Lisbon is an easy place to love. In fact, in 2017 CNN anointed it "the coolest capital in Europe." A lot has changed since then, but the Portuguese port city remains as enamoring as ever. Think castles, beaches and renowned cocktail bars (lookin' at you, Monkey Mash).
