BelleSf: A tasteful nudie mag of local ladies

  • 06 May 2014

Despite the best efforts of the Internet, the ‘80s and Larry Flynt, there’s still a place in this world for the artful and edifying skin mag.

Proudly displayed, rather than piled in the woods.

That's BelleSf, a spanking new quarterly of culture and nudes showcasing the city's finest talents, available now throughout town or by subscription.

Founded by former adman David Beaulieu and his wife Melissa, Belle takes its cues from the halcyon days of the nudie magazine: scintillating photography bounded on all sides by topical and thought-provoking copy.

Because gentlemen read the articles.

On the image side, they've ditched all things fake — meaning no airbrushing or boob jobs allowed — and their pool of models consists exclusively of Bay Area residents.

The results speak for themselves.

As for the more verbose content, it's all sourced locally and runs the gamut from short fiction to current events to artist profiles.

Making for pages that reward repeat browsing.

Take that, Internet.
