The Flower Shop is your new go-to happy hour haunt on the Lower East Side, and it comes courtesy of NYC hospitality aces Ronnie Flynn (Never Never), Dylan Hales (The Randolph Group) and Will Tisch (Major Food Group). Inside: two floors and 3,600 square feet gussied up with a pool table, bar, jukebox and a kitchen helmed by Daniel Boulud alum Michael Hamilton.
Since Hales (far right) calls the LES home, we tapped him for his go-tos in the ‘hood.
Caveat emptor: he doesn’t actually sell flowers. Stop off somewhere else for all that.
For Eats ...
“We are good friends with the owners (fellow Australians), so it's like family over there. The breakfast menu is fantastic. It resembles a Sydney cafe.”
Go for: The brown rice bowl with soft poached egg, kohlrabi, avocado, pumpkin seed and pesto.
“I grew up in Asia, so it's hard for me to resist a traditional Chinese banquet style restaurant.”
Go for: The Peking duck with pancake, scallion and cucumbers.
