You May Want To Keep This Safe in a Safe

If you've got it, flaunt it

Discretion is the first defense when it comes to protecting great treasures from would-be thieves.

Loose floorboards. A revolving bookcase. A false wall behind a filing cabinet on the 7 ½ floor.

Boca Do Lobo’s Millionaire Luxury Safe takes a different approach.

This mahogany lockbox comes plated in brass and dipped in gold. It knows nothing of subtlety.

It wants you to notice it. And it practically taunts you to pry the f—er open. Drill it open. Blow it to bits.

Seemingly scarred, marred and battered by teams of safe-crackers eager to unlock its bounties, the treasure chest is as much a work of art as it is a safe haven for it.

Each golden lockbox is custom made to a buyer’s specifications. Manufacture is in Portugal, but the company ships anywhere in the world. The drawers are lockable, and the maritime-inspired handle comes coated in silver with its own secret combination.

(Ok, fine, it’s 6-6-6.)

Come to think of it, whatever its security features, this piece seems better suited for use as a bachelor pad cocktail bar than a genuine treasury.

Glass of rare port, anyone?
