And now, the answer to a question that precisely no one has ever asked:

“What happens when you freeze a luxury car at -22 Fahrenheit for five days, hire professional ice sculptors to hand-carve exact replicas of its wheels and tires, and then take it for a spin on the open road?”

Lexus just collaborated with the team at Hamilton Ice Sculptors in London to find the answer to exactly that using one of their NX crossovers. The result? Looks like the head of God’s own motorcade.

Each wheel of the NX took four sculptors a total of 36 hours to complete. The interiors are stabilized with LED lit acrylic rods to ensure support of the car’s weight.

Well played, Lexus.
