That someone is Uber, who just chopped prices in more than 100 cities across North America in a bid to get customers to brave the cold and take some discounted rides.
The company has employed this tactic in the past and says the seasonal price cuts may change or even be eliminated entirely, depending on the effectiveness of the initiative. They’ll also guarantee January earnings for drivers to make sure no one gets left out in the cold.
