Tom Ford’s First Watch Collection Looks Like an Instant Classic

It's hip to be square

For the first time since he left Gucci and started his namesake label, fashion and culture arbiter Tom Ford is getting into the watch game.

Earlier this year, Ford announced he was working on his first luxury watch collection, and now we finally have our first glimpse. Falling right in line with what makes Ford such a beloved figure in the industry, The Tom Ford 001 Collection is a slim, unisex, square-shaped watch that resembles the Cartier Tank, one of the most enduring designs the horology industry has ever seen.

For the collection, Ford partnered with Tom Kartsotis and Bedrock Manufacturing Co., the same group behind Fossil, Filson and more recently, Shinola, the wildly successful Detroit-based brand that has since expanded into a variety of lifestyle sectors (they’re opening a hotel later this year).

While we have no info yet on the movement powering the 001 Collection, we do know the watch will come in at least four finishes, with a number of different strap options.

The watches — priced $2,000 and upwards — are out now. Head on over to Tom Ford to see the full collection
