Chances are, you have some outdated Apple gear sitting around. Maybe it’s a blueberry iMac. Maybe it’s something more recent. Maybe it’s as old as a Performa 6320. Whatever it is: French artist Christophe Guinet has probably reworked it into something — well, if not beautiful, then at least thought-provoking, as suggested in hashtags accompanying photos of his artworks like #disconnect and #thinknature. His biography claims that his work also criticizes “thoughts polluted by overconsumption and the ultra-liberal media hype”; we’ll let you be the judge of that.

This is far from the first time Guinet, who grew up between Paris and the surrounding countryside, has explored the relationship between nature and technology: for “Les Mains Baladeuses,” he created a truck that seemed to be part forest animal. And no second guesses for what “Bark Vader” looks like.
