This Guy Made a Trailer out of a Crashed Airplane

He calls it a crashpad, and it’ll make you grin from ear-to-ea

Tim Hill may have just retired from serving as a mechanic in the Air Force, but today he could be made an honorary Goonie. His converted crashed airplane, which he affectionately dubbed his “crashpad,” may be lo-fi by luxury standards, but it’s highly imaginative.

Hill knew planes were lightweight, so when he couldn’t afford the teardrop trailer he dreamt of,  he opted to retrofit a crashed airplane with A/C, a laptop station and showers in the back. Outside captured this video of him at the Overland Expo East, where he’d towed the trailer using his tuned-up Jeep Rubicon.
