Flint & Tinder Slub Pocket Tee
Slub is a conundrum to me: the word sounds drab and undesirable, but the fabric itself makes me feel supremely comfortable. I really don’t want to wear anything else on my bare torso, save for a hoodie made of kittens … and that wouldn’t be very practical, affordable or ethical. Lucky for me these tees are the troika of characteristics I’m looking for (sans kittens). And even luckier for me (and you) they are currently on sale for three for $75 and available in quite a few colors. 2019 Stewardship Calendar
If you’re like me and haven’t quite started on your resolutions yet (I say it’s better to ease into them), maybe you also haven’t pulled the trigger on a wall calendar, either. The Salerno is by far my favorite travel pant. All the benefits of a jogger (predominantly the elastic waist that eliminates belt tomfoolery at security), but smartly tailored (sans elastic ankle cuff) and constructed from proper (but still stretchy!) chino material that gives them the vibe of an actual pant rather than a sweatpant. Audioengine HD6 Powered Wireless Bookshelf Speakers
During a recent conversation about possibly getting some new furniture in our living room, my wife let it be known that she strongly dislikes my very large stereo speakers. I don’t blame her, exactly, and I’m doing my best to be open to the idea of downsizing. The thing is, I’m not in any way open to sacrificing sound quality. So, after some research, I’ve landed on an unexpectedly affordable option (for audio dorks, anyway) in Audioengine’s HD6 powered speakers. Now, a powered speaker is a speaker that has built-in amplification, meaning you can just connect it to your audio source of choice and you’re good to go. Being a bit of an audio dork, though, I would never take advantage of this feature and would of course connect it to a separate phono preamp and an integrated amp. What interests me most about the HD6 is that they come equipped with aptX Bluetooth capabilities, meaning I could stream to them directly from my phone, tablet or laptop via Spotify. Well, that and the fact that by all accounts they offer superior sound despite their relatively small footprint. And they look sexy as hell.
