Located in Romania’s Carpathian Mountains, Bran Castle — aka Count Dracula's Transylvanian lair — will be hosting two lucky prize winners for a candlelit dinner followed by a night of exploring the dwelling’s 57 rooms, tower lookouts and secret passage this Halloween.
And yes, guests will be required to sleep in “velvet-trimmed coffins” within the Count’s crypt.
Dacre Stoker, the great grandnephew of Bram Stoker, will serve as host and plans to show off the castle’s mysteries with a guided tour following a “blood-enriching meal” of God knows what.
To win, contestants must write a 50-500 character essay detailing what they would say to the Count if they were to come “face-to-fang with him in his own castle” and submit it by the 26th.
Before you do, note that no garlic or garlic-scented items are allowed, all silver jewelry must be left at home, crossing the cutlery or placing anything in a cross formation is forbidden and mirror selfies are frowned upon.
If you aren’t selected and can’t visit in person, taking a virtual castle tour is always an option.
