Based on the number of various and sundry backpacks we see here at InsideHook, you'd think it's a vessel in need of reinvention. It's not. The humble backpack is still the ultimate daily carry — segmented, compact, comfortable, super-portable — and even its most basic iterations will meet most of your needs.

But occasionally, a new take comes along that's actually worth your attention. And the all-in-one Slicks fit that bill, at least if you're a frequent business traveler and/or gymgoer.

It’s great for work: a padded sleeve for your laptop, catch-all pockets, a space for documents and files. But its modular design also unfolds to reveal an ingenious suitbag that neatly stows into the bag's center compartment, along with a special shirt-folding device that keeps your collar crisp. There’s also a dopp kit, a modular bag for tees and undies (or dirty laundry) and a dedicated shoe compartment.

Then there’s the fact that you can re-configure the whole shebang to use it as a backpack, messenger bag or suitcase.

If you’re a frequent overnight traveler who hates lugging a rolling carry-on around, look no further. Slicks lives up to its name with aplomb.
