Three NFL veterans have some advice for rookies … and it isn’t to get themselves a fall guy.

Panthers Pro Bowl center Ryan Kalil and former Carolina offensive line teammates Jordan Gross and Geoff Hangartner recently penned a book — The Rookie Handbook — to help first-year players.

The tome, which includes advice on everything from handling rookie hazing haircuts to proper locker room etiquette to how to win an on-field fight, is illustrated and contains plenty of jokes.

Launching on September 6th and available for preorder on Amazon, the book is also meant to educate average football fans as well as anyone who’s curious about pro athletes in general.

“Remember, you have two ears and one mouth. Listen twice as much as you speak. You’ll probably learn something,” the guys wrote in an open letter promoting the book. “Use all the resources you have at your disposal to do your job to the best of your ability. You only get one shot at this thing … don’t screw it up.”

See you on the field, rook.
