From Playboy to the ever-expanding creep of internet porn, there's no denying that quality standards in the world of erotica have diminished over the last half-century. (Need more proof? Revisit Boogie Nights.)
Bucking that rule, though, are a number of upstart publications like Polanski, a magazine that just released its sixth issue — which also happens to be its most artistic to date. That’s owes in mahor part to art director Irwin Tobias Matutina, who opted for a theme centered around the suburbs. To realize his vision, Matutina tapped some of his favorite creatives to shoot scenes — some NSFW, others abstract or conceptual — colored by notions of life in America’s outlying residential neighborhoods.
