Like vinyl, the Super 8 camera and far-out facial hair, platform shoes are the latest ’70s staple making an unexpected comeback.

These kicks, however, do the me-first decade justice.

As part of its SS16 collection, Swedish footwear brand Axel Arigato has unveiled a fresh line of Platform Sneakers with a minimalistic design that emphasizes sturdiness and support.

The low-profile suede Platforms are handmade in Portugal from premium Italian materials and boast white Margom rubber soles stitched onto an upper portion featuring calf leather lining.

The $195 shoes are the first of a limited set of releases Arigato will continue dropping in February and March.
