Burning Man in Beach Villas, Basically

All you need is five days in mid May and a passcode

Like the residual effects of the experience itself, Playa Dust never washes away.

You may never return to Burning Man, but Burning Man will find you: in the seams of a duffel bag, the toe of a work boot, the soiled end of a Q-Tip retrieved from your inner ear.

Which is why we recommend Ondalinda x Careyes, four days of electronic music, thought-provoking speakers, art, nature and open-mindedness in a place that won’t leave you covered in a thin film of windblown desert.

Ondalinda’s maiden voyage heads to Careyes, Mexico, May 12th-16th.

Guests will stay in five-star castles and villas owned by a family of Burners running the show. The event is a Playa-minded shindig with Summit-level speakers, and they have plans for future editions all over the globe, so keep your eyes peeled.

Depending on how much you want to spend you can stay in either a villa or a castle. The price is all-inclusive, so your meals and hooch are all set. So are the parties, which will feature some of Black Rock City’s finest on the decks — Bedouin, Eduardo Castillo, Luum, Sabo, Goldcap — and last throughout the day and night. The Mayan Warrior will be making an appearance, as well.

You can dip in and out. Stroll the beach. Go scuba diving. The itinerary is big-boy camp sans any sort of schedule. Do what you want, man.

They’ll also have TED-level speakers and a screening of Eco de la Montaña, a new documentary on Mexico followed by a literal fireside chat with Executive Producer Jim Ramey.

Also on offer: a mercado with Huichol art, yoga and an Ocean Sunset Ceremony in a giant bowl on the edge of a cliff.

If you want to go, visit the website and request a code. They’ve got space for 400 guests, and they’re selective. Definitely mention us.

If you’re picked, you’ll fly into Puerto Vallarta.

There’s also a private landing strip in case you decide to charter a jet.

Godspeed.
