Wrong Jon Jones Gets Roasted on Twitter After UFC 200 Disqualification

And the other Jon Jones handles it like a champ

When news broke overnight that interim UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones had been removed from Saturday’s title unification bout for failing a drug test, fans went after him.

And rightfully so.

They were upset Jones, who’s had run-ins with the law in the past, would not be facing Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 in Vegas due to a potential U.S. Anti-Doping Agency violation. Enraged that the event’s headline bout would be replaced by a three-round fight between heavyweights Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt, fans sharpened their virtual knives and went after him on Twitter.

Unfortunately for Jon Jones, a self-described “tech geek, outsourcing wizard and cat fancier” from Brooklyn, some of Bones Jones’s fans went after the wrong Jon.

Despite the case of mistaken identity Brooklyn Jon handled it like a champ. See for yourself:

To be fair to the fans, even Cormier’s fake Twitter account had trouble keeping up with the Joneses.

Another reminder that when you’re seeing red and need to vent, look for the blue check mark.
