Watch Jay Leno Survive an Insane Barrel Roll in a Plymouth Barracuda

This guy can really take it on the chin

After surviving a ratings crash at the end of his gig hosting The Tonight Show, Jay Leno just proved he can walk away from another type of crash unscathed — except this one involved a 2,500-HP Plymouth Barracuda, drag-racing icon Bob Riggle and a wheelie.

The used-to-be-funnyman was in the passenger seat for a taping of Jay Leno’s Garage when 80-year-old racing vet Riggle popped the Hemi-equipped car up on two wheels for a few seconds before it came back to earth, squirreled out of control and then put the roll cage to the test (the sequence starts at around the 2:40 mark in the video above).

Both men — who were wearing helmets — walked away from the crash at California’s Irwindale Speedway unharmed. “That was certainly exciting,” Leno joked to the paramedics. “Stuff to Do When You’re 80, we’ll call this.”
