Consider These Alpaca Sweats Your New Holiday Uniform

Put them on and don’t remove them until 2019

The holidays are an interesting sartorial dichotomy: on one hand, plenty of lazing around the domicile, for which comfy, cozy sweats are most certainly the name of the game. On the other, plenty of errands, gatherings and the like, for which they are … not.

A problem that has now been deftly solved by the clever elves at Goodlife, who have crafted what your correspondent firmly believes to be the Lord of All Sweatsuits. Woven from yarn shorn from Peruvian alpacas then blended with pima cotton, Goodlife’s new collection (featuring a sweater, “sweater pant” and shawl cardigan) is not only softer than a kitty’s belly, but also exceedingly durable and well-insulating to battle wintertime chill.

Add to this a handsome waffled texture and artful details like contrast stitching and dyed-to-match buttons, and — with the addition of some stylish sneakers (like these) and a handsome jacket (like this) — one can go from couch session to present-shopping mission to drinks with the fellas, no wardrobe change required.

All three colorways are ideal for mixing and matching, though for our money a matching kit is the way to go. It just adds an extra element of “yes this is an intentional fashion choice, and one that I am supremely comfortable with.”

And comfort is what this is really all about, isn’t it?
