As we've told you a couple times before: 2019 is the year of the castle vacation.
And that vacation doesn't have to end if you can spare $2.8M for this 240-acre, Hawk Mountain estate in central Vermont.
Regally monikered Grahall Castle blends the Middle Age feel of a Scottish loch castle with Green Mountain State's conservationism, pulling off an old-meets-new sensibility without even breaking a sweat.

What to expect at Grahall? About 8,000 square-feet of living space. Seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, a curved library tower that'd have a professor grinning ear to ear, and a solar-paneled roof-deck perfect for surveying the many miles of forest below.
The moneymaker, though, is the castle's outer stone wall, crafted from locally quarried granite and guarding the outdoor patio and north face of the home. (Just in case anyone makes it past the moats — there are three.) Good luck finding a wall quite so imaginative in Culdesac, USA. Other kingly features include a dinner table so large it'll push you into perpetual Thanksgiving indentured servitude and a 10-foot, arched wooden front door that needs a doorman to loudly announce the names and titles of everyone entering.
Anyway. It's a great house.
