Cue the sounds of awe.
The Australian design house Elite Innovations recently debuted their latest high-end, hi-tech pool table, the X1 “Everest,” built with a transparent glass base and glass top —giving it the illusion of floating on air.

It’s customizable: You choose among a myriad of finishes, platings, bumper colors and if you want LED lighting, which is controlled by Wifi remote and capable of 26,000 different colors, so, yes, you want it. There’s also the option of a multipurpose cover, which transform your fancy billiards into a dining room or ping pong table.
Looks cool, but how does it play? The company says its patented Vitrik surface “replicates the rolling resistance of felt” and has a shock-absorbing layer underneath the glass, so you won’t have to worry about cracks.
Caveat: They’re only making five of these per year, it’s going to cost at least a healthy five figures (the previous G1 model went for $25,000) and the cue racks, triangles and balls all come separately — and you’ll want to buy the balls from them.
