You can’t spell campy without camp.

At least that seems to be the message of Das Boots Made for Walking, a new promo spot for Poler Stuff’s Rocky Original Hiker that takes filmmaker Alex Craig and his pal Dr. Dan Douglas (John Stewart) into the Oregon woods for a bit of hands-on R&D work.

Emphasis on new because had you not known, we’d forgive you for thinking the video is something Craig dusted off and repurposed from his parents’ home VHS collection (it’s also not the first time Poler has recruited Dr. Dan and his distinctive brand of ’90s nostalgia for a plug).

Regardless of whether the video is your cup of Earl Grey, the boots, made with Vibram soles and welt construction, are representative of the form-meets-function gear that have made Poler Stuff one of the more exciting names in the outdoor gear game of late. And city dwellers: they look like they’d handle snow well, too.
