Up there with losing weight, traveling more frequently and electing a new president, trying to read more often was one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions people made for 2018.

The question is — what to read?

Duncan Jones, David Bowie’s son, has a suggestion: his famous father’s favorite books.

Drawing from the top 100 titles on Ziggy Stardust’s list of all-time favorite reads, the informal David Bowie Book Club challenges members to read one of Bowie’s faves each month.

As Jones announced on Twitter, the first selection is Peter Ackroyd’s 1985 novel Hawksmoor.

If you want to keep up with the club — which will also theoretically tackle titles like Don DeLillo’s White Noise, John Rechy’s City of Night and Wonder Boys by Michael Chabon — you’re under pressure to finish the first book by February 1st.
