It’s Fairly Easy to Customize Your Car Horn to Play ‘La Cucaracha’

Or pretty much any tune of your choosing

From furniture to motorcycles to digital clocks made from wood, Bob Clagett likes to make stuff.

In fact, the father-of-four enjoys designing things so much that he left his career as a software engineer to work on his “I Like To Make Stuff” YouTube channel on a full-time basis. His latest video — “Add Custom Horn Sounds to ANY CAR” — is a step-by-step guide of how to do, well, just that.

In the clip, Clagett uses an Adafruit soundboard, small amp, cigarette lighter adapter, buttons, 12- to 5-volt adapter, 3D-printed box, speaker wire and a quartet of pre-recorded sounds to outfit his Land Cruiser with a set of custom horns that can be removed if necessary.

The steps all look easy enough, so choosing the sound you go with might be the hardest part.

This is a great option.
