Four words, friends: massive luxury hotel discounts.
Seriously. If you've ever tried to book a hotel on the internet, chances are you've encountered a half dozen pop-ups telling you how to book a better hotel for less. It's usually A) a scam, or B) legit, but going to cost you in the fine print.
Club 1 Hotels, we're happy to inform, is neither A nor B. The site sells hotel rooms at wholesale rates, and includes names like Fairmont, Andaz, Ritz, the Four Seasons and Viceroy among its bookable ranks. And while membership to the service is usually $675 a year, for a limited time you can join the serivce for ... free. Yep. Sort of like that free month of Hulu. But for luxury hotels. And for a year.
Deals you can net when booking through Club1? The site has some concrete examples, all applied over six days of stay. Think savings of $1,875 at the St. Regis in Aspen, $1,938 at the Fairmont in Maui or $1,117 at the Andaz concept resort in Costa Rica.
Some points of caution, from our side. For the deals to really kick in at some of those luxury hotels, you have to spend a good chunk of time there. (Hence their six-day examples.) And before you start perusing the site, be warned it takes a bit of legwork to find your ideal spot. Club 1 Hotels also has deals with a ton of “meh” brands. So for every beachfront in South Beach, you're getting four or five airport Hampton Inns. But the entire service is free, so you can do worse than scroll past a couple uninspiring photos on a Sunday afternoon.
To claim your free membership, head here. Don't worry, they won't ask for your credit card info, and the membership doesn't auto-renew. If you'd like some even more information before booking, there's a more thorough breakdown of how their profit model works here.
