As the owners of streaming devices around the nation are finding out, the joys of cutting their cable cords might be many, but the joys of keeping tabs on all those extra devices are very few.

A startup called Caavo may have a solution in the form of an all-in-one console that serves as a hub for up to eight HDMI-connected devices. The box  lets users access all of them with a voice-activated universal remote that finds content across all connected platforms.

Whether the content is a Netflix show on a Roku, a movie downloaded to an Amazon Fire Stick or a YouTube video that’s streaming on Apple TV, the Caavo will pull it up without any cords being swapped, devices being switched or apps of any kind getting involved.

It's worth noting that the device is cable-ready, so those who haven’t cut the cord can take advantage as well.

Housed in a handsome case coated with mahogany and tigerwood veneers, the Caavo comes from the folks that pioneered Sling Media and Slingbox and has secured $15 million in funding.

“We have to work with, and embrace, what people already use,”  CEO Andrew Einaudi told WIRED. “The only way to do that is to unify your living room devices, your remotes, your apps, your services, your watchlists, and your content, all in one place.”

A Caavo and remote will sell for $399 and, if you’d like, you can get on the pre-order list here.

Here’s a suggestion about what to watch first.
