Someone Erected a Giant Penis-Shaped Luxury Home

There's a reason they call it "Buckingham Phallus"

As Juliet asked Romeo: “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”

Very true Jules, very true.

Even if “Buckingham Phallus” had a different name, it would still be a giant penis-shaped house.

Located in Church Point north of Sydney, Buckingham Phallus (also known as the Sherwin House) is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a phallic floor plan that was erected by architect Stan Symonds in 1958. Despite having two balconies, an inground pool and a large deck, Symonds neglected to build a ballroom on the 3,400-square-foot luxury property.

The home is back on the market after it was sold last May for about $1 million, and real estate agents expect it will fetch an ever higher price this time around.

“It is an interesting form of architecture, with the roundness of the shape and design,” Kevin Packham of Belle Property told Daily Mail Australia. “I think that is what makes it so unique and appealing. It kind of lends itself to the landscape.”

No doubt many buyers will be eager to get their hands on it.
