When it comes to vacations, there’s no better balm for the harried mind than turning off your phone.

Unless your phone is your camera and you’ve got a pro photog teaching you how to use it.

That’s what’s on tap with Blissful Adventurer’s new iPhone Puglia trip, in which fine-art shutterbug Sam Krisch and travel planner Michael Housewright teach you how to take pro-level photos using only your iPhone.

Italy

This is a one-week journey that includes the 18th century Masseria Li Veli winery, the ancient cave city of Matera and the streets of Locorotondo, where you’ll be staying in beautiful private apartments.

The trip takes place the last week of October. Can’t make it? Housewright is planning similar excursions to Iceland, Rome and Paris in 2014, and will also “trip design” your next European vacation.

But maybe try for this one.

“[This trip] is about the dining and shooting together,” says Housewright. “Think of the food: fresh orecchiette pasta with local greens, grilled seafood an hour out of the boat, brilliant coffee from local roasters, wines … ”

Sounds like you’re gonna need some photos to remember it all.
