Welcome to Tick Talk, a biweekly guide to the latest watch releases of note at a variety of styles and price points.

What time is it? Might be time to buy a luxury watch on eBay, since the auction site now authenticates and guarantees an array of pre-owned and new Rolexes, Omegas, etc.

And now, onto the watches that will make you tick this week …

On a budget (<$200): Since the Skagen Falster 2 is going on sale on September 12th — with improved health tracking features and Google Pay integration — now’s actually a good time to grab a deal on the Falster 1. You’re still getting a lot of useful tech features (Google Assistant, activity tracking, call notifications, etc.), and all wrapped up in possibly the sleekest smartwatch display we’ve ever seen (go for the brown leather strap). Currently $199, down from $275.

Affordable (<$1,000): Limited to just 10 pieces, the motorsport-inspired SB02 Drive 1 from Sartory Billard — French watchmakers best known for their “convertible” timepieces with interchangeable bezels and quick-change straps — features an anthracite dial, a stainless steel bezel with blue and orange car paint and a Miyota 8215 automatic movement. The 39mm timepiece is water resistant to 100m, but really, this is watch built for road-based adventures. ($650)

Just take my money (>$1,000): Celebrating 185 years of watchmaking, Swiss watchmakers Jaeger-LeCoultre recently released the Reverso Tribute Tourbillon Duoface ($123,000), a slender timepiece that hides … a second watch. On the front: A sunrayed blue dial and hand-applied silver hour markers, Dauphine-style hands and a flying tourbillon at six o’clock. Flip it over, and you’ll witness a raw metallic dial that shows off a second time zone and day/night indicator (the tourbillon is visible on both sides).

See you in two weeks. Until then, enjoy this step back in time:
