Here’s a Whole Mess of Towels That’ll Kick Your Bathroom Up a Notch

It's time to move beyond white, tan and grey

For the ultimate in spa-level comfort at home, you’ll be hard-pressed to find better towels than the new super-plush line from Brooklinen. They feel like someone flattened a Falkland sheep. Unfortunately, despite their industry-upheaving business practices, there is one place they fail to innovate: the color.

We don’t mean to single them out. White, grey, tan, blue, taupe (full disclosure: we don’t even know what taupe is, but do know it’s a towel color) — these are all standard bathroom hues that have been accepted and perpetuated by home goods companies for decades.

Because while beach towels run the gamut from vibrant graphic prints to ponchos, bath towels stay muted. And therein lies the problem. Can we really do no better than the same palette that dates back to those germ-infested fuzzy toilet seat covers?

No, we don’t. But because you won’t have much luck in the eccentric bath towel department at your local Bed, Bath & Beyond, we’ve rounded up our favorites below.

Whether you’re looking to kick your bathroom up a notch or need an Instagrammable set for your Airbnb, these all absorb and dry as well as they catch eyes.
