This ‘Smart’ Water Cooler Yells at You If You Don’t Stay Hydrated

If this can't help you drink more water, heaven help you

As you’ve been hearing since you were in short pants, you should drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day and eat some sort of fruit to keep the doctor away.

All of us know this, not all of us do it.

To help those in the latter category stay healthily hydrated, Apas Products, a new firm that specializes in “next-level water consumption infrastructure,” designed a smart cooler that tracks your daily water intake and reminds you to drink more if you aren’t getting enough.

Able to track your water consumption over days, weeks or months so it can automatically order more before the supply runs out, the Monolith has an LED screen that displays messages but can also interact with you thanks to an Apple Health integration.

Four feet tall, the wifi-connected cooler can hold a 3- or 5-gallon water bottle that’s loaded from the bottom to prevent back injuries and can pour a 45°F glass of the good stuff in six seconds.

Also, the cooler’s real-time OS has microprocessors that provide advanced protection from hacking so you don’t have to worry about the Monolith showing porn like a certain smart fridge.
