In a story that almost defies belief — and sounds a lot more interesting than that upcoming Prison Break revival — a former Playboy model has been caught in a scheme to break a pal of disgraced sports star Oscar Pistorius out of jail. The plot involved a pistol hidden inside a treadmill, an armed gang, a private jet and about $15 million in payoffs.
The model, Marissa Christopher (NSFW), is the girlfriend of gangster Radovan Krejcir, a supposed prison pal of Pistorius (pictured below, in happier times), the Paralympian serving time for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. According to reports, they played a lot of soccer (sorry, football) together.
Christopher planned to pay off wardens to bust out Krejcir from the hospital wing at the Kgosi Mampuru II prison in Pretoria, South Africa. From there, the plan was to take a helicopter to Mozambique before jetting away to Argentina (it’s always Argentina).
Unfortunately for the escapees, a stash of uniforms, cell phones and guns were found in Krejcir’s cell and personal treadmill. Because in South Africa, there are prisons that issue personal treadmills, apparently.
Given that this was Krejcir’s fourth attempt at escape, we expect more wacky hijinx and Hollywood-style shenanigans before year’s end.
