L.A. isn’t hurting for dining options.
Badmaash, Jon and Vinny’s, chi SPACCA, etc.: if scoring a res doesn't get you, merely trying to choose a spot will.
Hence why we’re pointing you to EEEEEATSCON, the food festival so big they had to put it in an airplane hangar.
Now, this isn’t your pappy’s food festival. Hosted by The Infatuation, a digital compendium of the places to eat in most American cities, expect something more akin to the food section at your favorite music festival.
Which explains why Shep Gordon is leading one of the many panels. Gordon — aka Super Mensch — is the big-time music manager to whom many attribute the elevation of chefs from aloof kitchen hands to the rockstar status they currently enjoy.
So while you can expect food from some of the city’s best restaurants (like the three mentioned above), you should also expect live music, interesting discussions and plenty of booze to keep you hungry.
You can also expect to leave on a dolly, blissfully groaning.
The madness goes down this Saturday at the Barker Hangar. Get your tickets here.
