Glamping at Denali

“The summer before I went off to college, my dad and I took a trip to Denali National Park in Alaska. We spent our days hiking the alpine trails, taking guided walks through the tundra, learning about the local flora and fauna (including the occasional bear) and canoeing on crystal clear Wonder Lake, with a stunning view of Denali in the background.”

Your Marching Orders …

You’ll be setting up shop at the North Face Lodge, a woody, handsomely appointed guesthouse seated on the tundra floor mere miles from Denali. Guests can hike, bike along Denali Park Road or even jump in a prop plane for a ride around the park and its glacier walks. All the food — prepared by North Face’s in-house chef — is sourced from ingredients grown and raised in-state, including produce from their onsite greenhouse. Just be sure to bring your own wine and liquor, as Camp Denali and North Face Lodge do not sell alcohol. And a good pair of shoes: there are no vehicles allowed, with the exception of service vehicles and the bus that brings your party into and out of the park.
