The measured roll-out of details about Maserati’s electric GranTurismo continues! Earlier this year, the automaker drove a prototype GranTurismo Folgore through the streets of Rome. Now they’ve revealed even more details, via a five-minute video in which comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco goes for a drive in California in one, sharing his observations as he goes.

As Ronan Glon observed in an Autoblog article, Maserati has been revealing details about this car piece by piece, rather than via one comprehensive announcement. This latest video does include some notable facts about it, including that its top speed is over 200 miles per hour and that it can go from 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds. Also noteworthy? It’s capable of getting 100 miles of range with a 10-minute charge.

That doesn’t mean that each and every detail of the car is revealed in the video, however. In fact, one shot of the interior is intentionally blurred out, with a giant “CONFIDENTIAL” stamp over top of it. It’s not the only time i nthe video when that blurring effect is utilized.

It’s also interesting to note that the video seems designed to address potential buyers who might be skeptical of an electric vehicle. “When I hear ‘electric,’ I don’t hear fun; I hear boring,” Maniscalco says early on the drive — only to stop when the car’s full acceleration kicks in. That’s one of a few interesting snippets of conversation in the video, with another one focusing on the sound made by the engine.

As for when we’ll know more about this GranTurismo, the video offers some details there as well — it ends with the text “GLOBAL PREMIERE IN 2023.”
