If your gaming life seems stuck in the past, there’s a place for you, and it’s surprisingly a rather futuristic-looking property in Las Vegas.

Described as “a modern hospitality experience inspired by gaming culture,” the new Atari Hotels were announced back in January, but more details just arrived this month.

As GSD Group — one of the agencies behind the properties — describes the new hotels, co-designed by Gensler:

“Guests can enjoy the latest in video games, experience cutting-edge immersive entertainment, purchase exclusive Atari Hotels merchandise, and play the night away in retro-style gaming arcades. A speakeasy and fully equipped nightclub will be available for adult guests, as well as themed restaurants and bars. Atari Hotels delightfully plays with the themes of retro-futurism, pop culture, and nostalgia — offering fun for the whole family.”

The first two Atari hotels will open in Las Vegas and Phoenix, with additional buildings set for Austin, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle in the near future.

The hotels seemed designed both for modern-day eSports competitions and retro-minded gaming fans (consoles will be in each room). Luxury Launches suggests the Las Vegas property will feature 400 rooms “split into separate hemispheres” and connected by a glass atrium (resembling the classic Atari logo).
